STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Breast cancer awareness, HIV awareness, and stress management are among the featured topics in the Central Family Life Center’s upcoming Women’s Health Series seminars.
The series will begin with a webinar on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Domestic Violence Month, domestic violence and breast cancer will be discussed. Other topics will include stress, HIV, and the COVID-19 vaccination in relation to women’s health.
There will be a women’s health fair with in-person seminars on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 59 Wright St., Stapleton covering a range of issues that women are currently facing.
Free breast cancer screenings will be available in a mammogram bus onsite. Free flu shots will also be available.
