Vaccines for schoolkids at the expense of rural health workers ‘makes no sense’

The Rural Doctors Association of Australia’s Dr John Hall says the federal government sending vaccines to schoolchildren in Sydney when rural health workers remain unvaccinated “makes no sense”.

“These are people that are working hard to protect their community,” Mr Hall told Sky News.

“And often, they’re working in environments where they haven’t been able to get relief because of the border closures.

“These are doctors and nurses who haven’t had breaks because they haven’t had relief staff.

“It’s compounded, and these people deserve the vaccine, they deserve the vaccine more than schoolchildren in Sydney.”
