COVID live updates: ‘Apathy has to be swept away’, Sydney residents told, as COVID cases grow

NSW restrictions FAQs

NSW Health is yet to release its own FAQ page, however this is what I can garner from its media release today.

Question . Sydney CBD. From 4pm today – do we have to wear masks in our office?

Yes, all indoor workplaces in Greater Sydney, the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour will need to introduce masks from 4:00pm today.

Is the 4 square metre rule just for Sydney or all of NSW?

The four-square metre rule applies to Greater Sydney, the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour.

Just wanted to see whether being vaccinated will exclude us from the travel restrictions

-Vaccinated person

No, being vaccinated does not exempt you from any restrictions that may be introduced in NSW or elsewhere.

Hi, were there any dates given for the travel restriction for those who are casual or part-time workers?

-Sydney City Worker

The travel restrictions were not categories into full time and part time/casual work, so anyone who works in those 7 LGAs* is bound by those restrictions that range from 4pm today for one week.

*Those LGAs again are: City of Sydney, Waverley, Randwick, Canada Bay, Inner West, Bayside, and Woollahra
