Health Canada is warning Amazon shoppers about a major recall Tuesday (June 15) of a children’s product following reports of injuries.
This recall involves a children’s 55″ trampoline with an enclosure net and safety pad. The trampoline is available in a green colour and may be identified by the Amazon ASIN number B085VM6W27, Health Canada said in its recall warning.
The welds on the support frame of the trampoline may fail, posing a fall hazard, Health Canada states.
As of June, 2021, the company has received 5 reports of the trampoline’s legs or straps breaking in Canada and 2 reports of injuries.
Amazon reported that 1,464 units of the affected product were sold in Canada from July 2020 to June 2021.
“Consumers should immediately take the recalled trampoline away from children and contact their municipality for instructions on how to dispose of or recycle the product,” Health Canada said.
Amazon has already contacted all affected Canadian customers and issued “a refund and warning regarding the safety of this product,” Health Canada said.
For more information, consumers can contact Amazon through the company’s website.
